Brahea armata: Species Overview with Photos of Seeds, Seedlings & Mature Palms

Brahea armata, commonly known as the Mexican blue palm or blue hesper palm, slow-growing palm that typically reaches heights of 9-15 meters (30-50 feet). It has a stout trunk and a crown of rigid, fan-shaped leaves that are silvery-blue in color, each measuring 1-2 meters (3-6 feet) wide. Long, arching flower stalks, up to 5 meters (16 feet) in length, produce creamy-white flowers followed by round, yellow fruits.
